  • Alameda County Food Bank Fight hunger in your backyard Variety of tasks- from online grant research todistributing food Day by day basis- no extended commitment necessary How to apply: Go to the food bank’s volunteer page(Google “Alameda food bank volunteer”) where youcan then email the volunteer coordinator
  • Ruth Bancroft Garden, WalnutCreek Help maintain the local, CA-plant based nursery Work outside, smell the flowers! How to Apply: Google “Ruth Bancroft GardenVolunteer” and fill out application. No deadline, nominimum commitment Talk to for more information: Hannah Rogers
