  3. 3. Susan Cain: The Power ofIntroverts her thesis is about how our society is based around extroverted individuals whileIntroverted people are looked down upon in society. Also a healthy society should be based on a well balance system for both extroverts and introverts.
  4. 4. Shy ≠ Introvert Shy- Is a fear of social judgmentIntroversion – Is how a person responds to social stimulation.
  5. 5. Susan Cain caught theaudience attention by starting off with a story from her childhood while holding a bag that is used as a metaphor.
  6. 6. Susan Cain maintains interest in her speech byusing stories, statistics, and metaphors.
  7. 7. Dynamism evaluation: 1 (lowest) to 5 (Highest) 4/5 I rate Susan a 4 because she lacked visual representation especially when she mentions statistics and historicalfigures. However her speech was filled with charisma and stories to keep it interesting.
  8. 8. Garr Reynolds or Nancy Duarte tips usedvisual representation was not used in Susan Cain’s presentation.However, she did use a lot of movementShe told several interpersonal stories during her speech, making herspeech structure close to that of Nancy Duarte’s ideal speech.

Differences:Sir Ken Robinson wishes to change the wholeeducation system Susan Cain wishes to change societies views on Introverts onlySusan tells more personal stories and also speaks more fluently thanRobinson However, Robinson seems more comfortable with crowds and influences audience more.
