Students In Action is a national youth volunteer leadership, recognition and reward program, designed to pass the tradition of service on to the next generation. …

Students In Action is a national youth volunteer leadership, recognition and reward program, designed to pass the tradition of service on to the next generation.

Co-developed by Jefferson Awards for Public Service and Deloitte, it is now in over 250 High Schools.

Each spring, Student Leaders from the participating schools compete in regional competitions. They are asked to report on the implementation of the program, and the impact they've had, both in their schools and within their communities.

Expanding Volunteer Capacity <ul><li>Service Learning Expo - September 30 th , 2009 </li></ul><ul><li>Club Fair- Clubs within the school encouraged students to become involved in extra-curricular activities. </li></ul><ul><li>Non-profit community organizations informed students of different activities to get involved in their community. </li></ul>
  • 8. Fundraisers <ul><li>The Peace Club Students raised $1500 for Haiti. </li></ul><ul><li>Forefront students raised $300 for Kiva. </li></ul><ul><li>The BuildOn students raised $3,000 to help build schools in Africa. </li></ul>

Fundraisers <ul><li>PENNIES FOR PATIENTS </li></ul><ul><li>SCHEDULED : APRIL 19 TH – MAY 7 TH </li></ul><ul><li>Jefferson Awards students will promote awareness in divisions! </li></ul><ul><li>The division that raises the most money will receive a pizza party. </li></ul><ul><li>Goal: $1500.00 </li></ul>
