IMPLEMENTING A NEW TRACKING SYSTEM IN RE • Create a Data/Executive Steering Committee - Schedule regular meetings to discuss databases • Begin with the end in mind - What Reports/Outputs will we need? - Are any Campaign Reports needed? - Have staff bring in examples • Discuss Current State - What processes are currently in place? • Discuss Future State - Where do we want to be? - How are we going to get there? - What data needs to be cleanup up? • Create Documentation for Business Processes8/2/2012 3

ENSURING BUY-IN • Leverage the Steering Committee • Provide Training - New Business Processes - On-going (Brown-Bag Sessions, Drop-in Sessions, 1:1) • Create 1 Page Quick Tip Documents for Fundraisers • Discuss how reports/outputs will be used to create accountability • Block off time on all fundraisers calendars to begin implementing the new changes8/2/2012 4
    • 5. CREATING ACCOUNTABILITY OUTPUTS • Begin with thinking about reports/outputs • Assist leadership and fundraisers with creating key reports/outputs - Take time to sit down and discuss each of the reports/outputs • Use the reports/outputs during prospect tracking meetings8/2/2012 5
