3. MANGA ETCETERA March 20 3:00-4:00 p.m. 6th-8th grade Come to the library to discuss your favorite manga and for a fun Japanese-inspired activity. Pick up your copy of Hikaru no Go, Vol. 1 at the circulation desk.

4. Senior Trivia First & Third Friday of Each Month 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. 90 minutes of fast paced trivia! Join a team and win prizes for your trivia knowledge.

5. Speed Scrabble When: Monday, March 22 Time: 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Who: Adults 21 and over

6. Library Bridge Club Mondays 1-3pm Beginners and lifelong bridge players: Get together with other card enthusiasts to learn and practice.

7. Write and illustrate your own story! Young Authors Who: 1st – 5th graders When: Saturday, March 20 Time: 10:00am—11:30am

8. Children’s Author Signing Saturday, March 20 10:00-11:00 am Jude McCanse, local Rockford author will make an appearance at Young Authors to talk about her new children’s book, “The Disappearance of Dawn”.

11. Lego Land Trip Schaumburg, IL March 30 9:00am-4:00pm $25 per person (Lunch not included) If you enjoy Lego's and want to see more, join us on a Spring Break trip to the suburbs. We will visit Lego Land Discovery Centre at the Streets of Woodfield and have a late lunch at Moretti’s before heading home.

12. March Story Hours March 11, 18, 25 Thursdays Toddlers ages 24 – 36 months 9:30 – 10:15 am, 11:00 – 11:45 Preschool ages 3 – 5 9:30 – 10:30, 11:00 – 12:00, & 1:00 – 2:00

13. Baby Boogies Playtime for babies ages 7 – 23 months March 9-23 Tuesdays 10:30am – 11:15am Registration Required *Ages will vary: class is designed for babies who are crawling or walking.

14. Chess March 6th and March 27th 2:00 – 3:00pm For adults, children and families. Learn from experts or just play!

15. Toy & Stuff Drive Skip the garage sale! Drop your stuff off at the library! We are looking for the following things to incorporate in our programs: Gently used toys with washable surfaces (balls, blocks, musical toys or noisy toys) Recyclables/ Craft Supplies Stuffed monsters, scary animals, mad scientist stuff for our summer reading program.

16. Getting Your Garden Ready March 27th 10:00-11:00 Learn gardening techniques from a Master! Margo Ackland, a U of I Extension Master Gardener, will help you determine what kind of garden is best for you and the plants that will thrive there.

17. Cartoons & Cereal Saturday morning cartoons and cereal…all ages welcome! March 27th 9:30 – 11:00

18. Boy’s Book Club April 7 6:30-7:30p.m. 3rd-5th grade Not your typical book club… an hour of hands-on activities that relate to the book. Pick up your copy of Dragonwingsat the circulation desk.

23. Heart Smart For Women February 9 – April 28 Tuesdays, 12:00- 1:00 A 12-week program that provides information and support for women of all ages to increase and maintain physical activity, make dietary improvements, and overcome obstacles.

24. Mouse Skills Friday, March 12 10:00-11:00 Learn how to do basic functions using the mouse.

25. Read to a Lab! Thursday, March 11th 5:00-6:00 1st—4th grades Did you know that dogs like books too? Come and show off your reading skills with friendly black labs. Call to reserve your dog.

26. Recipe Club Friday, March 12 12:00-1:30 Come with a dish and the recipe, try new foods, and learn about food blogging.

27. Starlight Stories Monday, March 15 6:45-7:30 A family story time with sing-along songs and finger plays. Children age 2-5 and families welcome.

28. E-mail Basics Tuesday, March 16 1:30-2:30 Learn how to set up and manage your email account.

29. Computer Basics Wednesday, March 241:30 – 3:00 p.m. Sign up required. Learn computer functions and manage files and folders.

30. The Princess and The Frog Wednesday, March 17 6:00-7:30 Come in and watch it on our big screen. Refreshments served. All ages welcome.

31. Lucky Library Reading Club March 17- April 14 For adult readers: Starting St. Patrick’s Day, read 3 books in 4 weeks and enter the drawing for prizes. Tons of small prizes awarded to our Lucky Readers!

32. Fancy Nancy Party Friday, March 19 3:30-4:30 Grades K-2 Ooh la la! Join us for a splendiferous time making gorgeous tiaras and monogrammed accessories. R.S.V.P. please.
