  • Web-based Decision Support System• Delivering decision support information or tool to manager or business analyst.• The computer that is hosting DSS application is linked to user’s computer via computer networks with TCP/IP.

  • Benefits of Web-based DSSThe benefits of building web-based decision support system are :  Increasing the availability.  Growing sophistication of web technologies.  Providing remote controlling.  Distributed computations.  Exchange of complex multimedia information.
  • Challenges faces Web-based DSS Technological Challenges : The basic web architectural model designed for random jumps in hyperspace, without providing a persistent connection or state. But DSS generally needs repeated interactions with a model and exchange a large amount of data speared across interactions. Economical Challenges: To offer decision support as a service, providers must experiment the new payments methods. Social and behavioral challenge: The type of users by applying Web-based DSS casual users , where , the previous users were professionals.
