  3. 3.  To reach a place. Example: Ryan Gets in the Car all by Himself.
  4. 4.  To return to the place where you live or work. Example: Two years after the accident, Jen was able to get back into her job.
  5. 5. • To succeed in leaving or escaping from sb or or a place.• Example: The kids werent allowed to go outside, but they managed to get away.
  6. 6.  Take the lead, progress. Example: Sallys really getting ahead in the investigation.
  7. 7.  Walking, moving, travel. Examples:Why dont we get about the beach so we can see the sunset?
  8. 8.  To manage to live or do sth with difficulty. Example: Monica couldnt study much, buy she got by and passed the exam.
  9. 9.  To overcome, lose the fear of something. Example: Ben could get over his fear of flying and took a plane to Spain.
  10. 10.  To meet socially, discuss or begin a romantic relationship. Example: Pablo and Ana Maria got together last week. Theyre in love!
  11. 11.  Tomake progress with sth that you are doing. Example: How are you getting on with that essay?
  12. 12.  To put on a piece of clothing with difficulty. Example: I’ve put on so much weight, I can’t get into my jeans.
