  4. 4. <ul><li>We cared for our crops and watched them grow! </li></ul><ul><ul><li>We learned how important it is to water our vegetables and that they get lots of sunlight. </li></ul></ul>
  5. 5. <ul><li>It is very important to watch our crops grow. </li></ul><ul><li>We observe our crops weekly and write in our Gardening Journal. </li></ul><ul><li>We are able to track their growth each week. </li></ul><ul><li>We measure our tall plants using standard and nonstandard measurements. </li></ul>
  6. 6. <ul><li>Our favorite part of Gardening is Harvesting. </li></ul><ul><li>This is when we go out to our garden and take our vegetables out. </li></ul><ul><li>We learned that some vegetables have to be pulled out, like carrots, some are picked like pole beans, and others are cut like lettuce. </li></ul>

  8. 8. Cooking: <ul><li>We were able to take our vegetables from our garden and cooking them! </li></ul><ul><li>We loved doing taste tests! </li></ul><ul><li>We learned that not all things that are good for you taste bad. </li></ul>
  9. 9. <ul><li>We learned measurements through our cooking lessons. </li></ul><ul><ul><li>We learned about measuring cups and measuring spoons. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>We also learned measuring terms like “a pinch” or “heaping”. </li></ul></ul>
