  • 2. What We’ve Learned This Year:
    • Gardening:
      • Planting
      • Caring for Crops
      • Observing
      • Harvesting
    • Cooking:
      • Measuring
      • Healthy Eating
  • 3. Gardening
    • We’ve learned how to prepare the land and plant many seeds.
  • 4.
    • We cared for our crops and watched them grow!
      • We learned how important it is to water our vegetables and that they get lots of sunlight.
  • 5.
    • It is very important to watch our crops grow.
    • We observe our crops weekly and write in our Gardening Journal.
    • We are able to track their growth each week.
    • We measure our tall plants using standard and nonstandard measurements.
  • 6.
    • Our favorite part of Gardening is Harvesting.
    • This is when we go out to our garden and take our vegetables out.
    • We learned that some vegetables have to be pulled out, like carrots, some are picked like pole beans, and others are cut like lettuce.
  • 7. Vegetables Planted this Year:
    • Carrots
    • Pole Beans
    • Bush Beans
    • Lettuce
    • Cucumber
    • Tomato
    • Popcorn
    • Pak Choy
    • Eggplant
    • Squash
    • Corn
    • Pumpkin
  • 8. Cooking:
    • We were able to take our vegetables from our garden and cooking them!
    • We loved doing taste tests!
    • We learned that not all things that are good for you taste bad.
  • 9.
    • We learned measurements through our cooking lessons.
      • We learned about measuring cups and measuring spoons.
      • We also learned measuring terms like “a pinch” or “heaping”.
  • 10. We Love Gardening and Cooking!!!!
