Question 1 <ul><li>In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products? </li></ul><ul><li>The types of media conventions which I used for my newspaper front cover and double page spread were example local newspapers off the internet and examples which I bought in from home. </li></ul><ul><li>I related examples which I bought in from home and the internet to my own. I gained ideas from this and was able to produce a good professional layout which meets the criteria. </li></ul>

Who I’m aiming my newspaper at? <ul><li>I will be aiming my newspaper at the local community because my articles will be complimented for the there local interest’s. </li></ul><ul><li>My newspaper is being aimed at niche market because it will only be aimed at the local community. The age group will be aimed around the high age community because the younger generation receive there news mainly either on the television or over the internet. </li></ul>
Question 2 <ul><li>How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts? </li></ul>The combination of both my newspaper and my newspaper poster is very effective both poster and newspaper relate to each other. The headings on both my newspaper and poster are both bright and colourful so the audience can notice them both and relate them together. The images used on my poster gets the point across without even reading the main text. My poster is advertising my newspaper and a free trip to the world cup. The image on the poster is of an image of the world cup which suggests the poster is related to the world cup.
Ancillary task As you can see from the image to the left of this paragraph, my ancillary task is a poster offering a prize and advertising the newspaper. The colours I have used are very bright and colourful so the audience keep entertained
Question 3 <ul><li>What have you learned from your audience feedback? </li></ul><ul><li>I have received allot of positives from my audience feedback. To receive feedback I created a questionnaire which I handed out to the local public and my fellow class mates. I gave the audience 7 questions which were in 3 parts. The point of my questionnaire was to compare mine with other local papers, I wanted to understand what the audience thought about the price of local newspapers, if the content was correct or incorrect and if the layout was attractive or not on local newspapers. </li></ul><ul><li>The audience feedback was very helpful and I was able to make changes to my newspaper were necessary. I was also able to learn what the audience wanted content wise in a local newspaper. </li></ul>

Question 4 <ul><li>How did you use new media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages? </li></ul>Stage 1 When I first began my production, the first thing I did was do research on similar tasks on the Internet. I looked at student newspaper front covers and double page spreads and took in there designs and ideas Stage 2 Once I did my research on both the front page and double page spread, I began
<ul><li>to design the template for the newspaper front page and double spread. The software to create my newspaper front page and double page was Adobe Indesign. I used Adobe Indesign as this software offers me all types of tools and features which no either software does. </li></ul><ul><li>Stage 3 </li></ul><ul><li>Once I finished the template I began the creation of my project. The digital technologies which I used was the software both Adobe Indesign and Adobe Paintshop. In addition to using software I used digital cameras to take images for my both my newspaper front cover and double page spread. </li></ul><ul><li>Stage 4 </li></ul><ul><li>I created a radio advert. The radio advert lasts for 11 seconds and has the backing song we come one in the background. In the radio advert I talk about what my newspaper can offer. </li></ul><ul><li>Stage 5 </li></ul><ul><li>Once I finished creating both my newspaper front cover and double page spread I converted all my work on to Blogger.com through the internet. </li></ul>
Radio advert This print screen is showing how I added I created my radio advert. From the print screen you can see the music track I used and the voice over for the advert. The music I have used is Faithless, We come one. Once I was happy with the voice over and the music I edited the parts which were not relevant.
What I’ve learnt From creating both my newspaper front cover and my newspaper double page spread I have learnt a variety of new skills which will be help me if I have to do a similar task in the future. I will list the skills which I have learnt in a table below.
