  • 2. Cheetahs are carnivores which means they eat other animals for food<br />What Cheetahs Eat<br /><ul><li> Cheetahs usually prey on animals that are under 88 pounds
  • 3. Fun Fact: The Cheetahs favorite food is mostly the Springbok, Impala, Thomson’s Gazelle and Grant’s Gazelle
  • 4. When Cheetahs hunt in packs they often find Adult Zebras and Adult Wildebeests
  • 5. When Cheetahs hunt alone they often take out Baby Zebras and Baby Wildebeests
  • 6. Fun Fact: Cheetahs have success of 50% which means that half of their hunts are successful </li></li></ul><li>Much More Facts About Cheetahs…….<br />WHereCheetahs Most Likely Live And Much more<br />Cheetahs are able to go 70 miles for 20 seconds<br />Cheetahs use their tail to steer it helps them go in the direction they want to go in<br />Cheetahs can Purr like a pet cat but they can’t roar like lions. Big cats can roar but not Purr <br /><ul><li>Cheetahs live alone unless pregnant
  • 7. Cheetahs are fastest land animal</li></ul>Where Cheetahs Live…..........<br />The two places Cheetahs most likely live are Africa and Asia….. Oh and also they are at the Zoo<br />They live in the Savannah in Africa, Asia, The Middle East and Iran<br />Occasionally Cheetahs live in the Desert, Woodland and Mountains<br />The Habitat Cheetahs prefer to live in are habitats with medium grass, small hills, trees and bushes <br />Cheetahs also live in a wide variety of habitats<br />
  • 8. What Cheetahs Look Like AND More about Them <br /><ul><li>An Adult Cheetah has Yellow or Tan Fur and a Cheetah has solid black round or oval spots
  • 9. The spots cover nearly the body
  • 10. The head is small and eyes are high on the Cheetah’s head
  • 11. They have stripes at the end of their tail
  • 12. Around the Cheetahs eyes are something called “ remember tears ” they are black markings around Cheetahs eyes.
  • 13. Cheetahs have white stomachs
  • 14. A Cheetah’s weight range is in between 80 - 140 pounds
  • 15. A Cheetahs tongue is rougher than san paper
  • 16. Fun Fact : the “ Remember Tears” protect the Cheetahs eyes from the “ Glare of the Sun”.
  • 17. Cheetahs are around 32 inches tall and from head to toe, a Cheetah can be from 76 to about 88 inches long</li></li></ul><li>Different types of cheetahs <br /><ul><li>There are five different types of Cheetahs

  • 19. The second one is Hecki is from West Africa
  • 20. The third one is Raineyii is from East Africa
  • 21. The forth one is the Soemmeringii is from Central Asia ( probably extinct )

And the fifth one is the √enaticus is from Southwest Asia and India ( today only</li></ul>in Iran ) <br /><ul><li> A King Cheetah is a the same as any cheetah except that its coat pattern is rare </li></li></ul><li>Random Fun Facts On Cheetahs<br />Cheetahs use their whiskers to help it feel<br /> This is what a cheetahs fur looks like<br /> Cheetahs fur helps them blend in, stay cool and not get<br />sunburned <br /> They can hear very well and see very far<br /> Cheetahs chase Baboons<br /> They are good at climbing trees<br /> Cheetahs can see 3 miles away and have blunt claws<br /> The word comes from the Indians it means “ Spotted One “<br />

  • 24. When cubs are first born they weigh between 9 - 15 ounces
  • 25. Cubs have a mantle Yellow – Gray Fur
  • 26. 75% of Baby Cheetahs die before they reach 3 months of age
  • 27. When the baby cub becomes 15 months its becomes the size of an</li></ul>adult<br /><ul><li> Baby Cubs start eating meat at 3 weeks old
  • 28. Cubs are born blind, helpless and unable to crawl</li></li></ul><li>The Cheetahs Predators <br /><ul><li>The first the Lions predator is the Lions ( 33% )
  • 29. The second predator is the Hyenas ( 42% )
  • 30. The third predator is the Leopards ( 8% )
  • 31. The forth is stray dogs ( 17% )
  • 32. The fifth is bald eagles ( 30% )

  • 34. Cheetahs paw prints almost look like cat paw prints
  • 35. You can find Cheetahs paw prints in open plains
