Used to Ship Low-Level Radioactive
Waste to the Nevada Test Site
While the number of low-level radioactive waste shipments increased
slightly from 2006 to 2007 (1,128 to 1,266, or 12%), the total volume
disposed at the Nevada Test Site decreased by 20%.
Annual low-level radioactive waste disposal volumes are estimated to
decline by 46% from 2008 to 2013.
