8. 8. 8 Project: National Institute of Standards and Technology (N.I.S.T.)- Y2001 http://cnst.nist.gov / General Scope: 47,480 square meters, or 511,070 square feet total. Cost: $235.2 million. 2 single-floor metrology laboratory sections completely below grade with 151 lab modules and 2 single-floor instrument laboratory sections above ground with 187 lab modules. Labs have a baseline temperature control to within ±0.25 degree Celsius and temperature control to within ±0.1 or ±0.01 degree Celsius for 48 precision temperature control laboratories in metrology sections. Included several types of vibration isolation foundations in metrology laboratory sections, for velocity amplitude of 3 micrometers per second or less. In special metrology laboratories, hold humidity control is to within 1 percent and 5 percent in the rest of the facility. Building-wide conditioned power supply system that will meet IEEE Std. 1100-1992 for critical electronic loads. Ceiling heights in laboratory modules adaptable to 7 meters (22 feet). Natural day lighting, energy conservation, and recycling incorporated into the AML’s design and planned operation. The AML facility includes an above ground Class 100 clean room wing, 80,000 square feet (3.5 or fewer particles per liter), upgradeable to Class 10. Project: WINBOND (Fab 6)- Y2000 http://www.winbond.com/hq/enu/AboutWinbond/WinbondWorldwide/Locations/ General Scope: Greenfield design of semiconductor manufacturing facility. Main fabrication building included 180,000 S.F. ballroom, Class 1000, mini-environment cleanroom, utilizing over-sized and multi-level automation systems. The facility was designed for DRAM products on 300-mm wafers, utilizing copper application technologies. Phase 1 total building space was 2.3M S.F. Project: SAP Labs- Y1999 http://www.devconconstruction.com/sap.html General Scope: 140,000 S.F. ($21M), Greenfield corporate office building, with below grade parking garage adjacent to an environmentally protected site (Coyote Hill open space). The Design and Construction was committed not only to the mitigation of physical impacts from development against the Coyote Hill open space, but to do so by the creation of an exemplary project, which delivered sustainable ideologies inherent in the project's design, construction and lifecycle. Project: GUIDANT, Santa Clara, CA.- Y1998 http://www.ir2.com/index.php/flash/ General Scope: 400,000 S.F. ($23M) Master Space Plan, Tenant Improvements to Santa Clara campus. Projects include major infrastructure upgrades to HVAC (cooling tower addition), UPS and Telecom. A 10,000 S.F. fully automated one-touch assembly/training rooms with video/satellite links, integrated with the Temecula facility. Designs included major cafeteria expansions. Also, major signature lobby remodel. PROJECT LIST
9. 9. 9 Project: GUIDANT, Temecula, CA.- Y1998 General Scope: 350,000 S.F. ($21M) Master Space Plan, Tenant Improvements to Temecula campus. Projects include major infrastructure upgrades to HVAC, UPS and Telecom. A 10,000 S.F. fully automated one-touch assembly/training rooms with video/satellite links, integrated with the Santa Clara facility. Designs included major cafeteria addition. Life Safety/Security upgrades, which included CCTV, digital fire alarm station, and card readers. Full ADA/T24 upgrade, to all bathrooms, building entrances, and required exits and public spaces. Remodel of open office floor plates to include break rooms, conference rooms, teaming space, coffee bars and private offices. Project: MAXIM Technologies (Fab X3)- Y1997 General Scope: Design/Build for 80,000 S.F. Bay and chase, Class 1 Cleanroom conversion of an existing open office space. Major service yard addition included elevated platforms for generators and cooling towers. Existing building was partially demolished and major structural modifications where made, including new interior steel frame structural systems and foundations. Tenant Improvement to existing open office, bathrooms, cafeteria and new signature lobby. Temporary detached gowning and bathroom facilities were deployed to keep on going operations fully functional. Building height restrictions required the design to incorporate a suspended make-up air deck. Project: Motorola (MOS 12)- Y1997 General Scope: Greenfield Design/Build for 80,000 S.F. C4 Process Class 1 bay and chase, cleanroom. Utilized a utility tunnel and six-foot high, 4x4-raised access flooring understructure to eliminate sub-fab level. Locate support office functions above the "cleanbox" area. Design to existing campus exterior materials, finish and color palette. Project: National Semiconductor- Y1997 General Scope: 20,000 S.F. Class 1 bay and chase, Cleanroom Addition.
