Some colours make us feel relaxed and calm while some seem to make us feel energised.  Colours affect our moods and thoughts and the colour of the rooms will do the same. Mostly as a rule, light colours make a room appear larger, more spacious. In contrast to this, dark colours make rooms appear more intimate and cosy.  By picking a specific colour, you will be able to create a certain ambience and mood for that room. Sometimes colour matchmaking of different shades can be applied to create a distinct identity for that room.
