  • 1. Why Cyber Bullying is Bad By Jake Willson Tell the bully that it’s wrong. Don’t go along
  • 2. Statistics (part 1)
      • Over half of children and teens have been bullied online, and about the same number have engaged in cyber bullying.
      • More than 1 in 3 young people have experienced cyber bullying online.
  • 3. Statistics (part 2)
      • Over 25% of children and teens have been bullied repeatedly through their cell phones or the Internet.
      • Well over half of young people do not tell their parents when cyber bullying occurs.
  • 4. If you are being cyber bullied
    • Do not reply to messages from cyber bullies -this is exactly what cyber bullies want.
    • Do not keep this to yourself, tell an adult you know and trust.
    • If problems persist, you should delete your e-mail accounts, cell phone number (etc.) and set up new ones. You can also block them from your social network accounts.
    • In my opinion, the most important thing to do when you are being cyber bullied is to stand up for yourself. Don’t allow people to push you around or make fun of you.
  • 5. If You See Someone Being Cyber Bullied
    • Stand up against it
      • Do not ignore it. You aren’t any better than the bully if you just watch it happen.
      • Do not join in with the bully. You will get no respect if you start bullying the person too. It only shows a lack of character.
      • Confront the bully while he is bullying. Tell him to stop bullying this person. Not only is it the right thing to do, but you will gain respect from your peers if you do it.
*Tell the bully that it’s wrong. Don’t go along*
  • 6. The Most Important Part
    • DO NOT ENGAGE IN CYBER BULLYING
      • Do not put people down if they are different.
      • It makes you look like an insecure person with a lack of character.
      • I can’t think of a better way to word it, rather that to just say that cyber bullying ruins lives, and we need to stand up against it.
  • 7. Don’t be the bully….
  • 8. Because you wouldn’t want to be the victim
  • 9.
    • THE END
