  • 1. some stories must be toldThe elisha project | Narrative Photography | jaime c. lind
  • 2. The Elisha Project It began on a saturday in July 2011 when one special family felt called to step out in faith and start making lunches to feed the homeless in their community. I was honored to capture photographs during many of the saturdays that followed, so that their incredible experiences could be shared with others.the photos tell a story of eyes opened, families strengthened and lives changed through faith in action. Combined with video and the powerful reach of social media, They haveinspired greater support and participation in the project than i could have ever imagined. More than seventy saturdays later, the elisha project has touched the hearts of thousands of people, "on both sides of the bag." "Give. Love. Live." (The EP mantra) speaks to the true simplicity of this project. The photos speak to the powerful impact it continues to have on everyone it touches. I AM FOREVER GRATEFUL TO THE ORTIZ FAMILY FOR INVITING ME TO JOIN THEM ON THIS JOURNEY.
  • 3. "GIVE. LOVE LIVE." IS NO LONGER JUST A MANTRA. IT HAS BECOME A MOVEMENT.TO DATE, THE ELISHA PROJECT HAS BROUGHT THE SIMPLE BUT LIVE-CHANGING EXPERIENCEOF LOVING STRANGERS TO FAMILIES IN RI, MA, NY, NJ AND VA. THEIR REACH (AND THEIR STORY)CONTINUES TO GROW.
