  • 1. RICKETSWhat is Rickets?Rickets is a disorder caused by a lack of vitamin D, calcium, or phosphate. It leads to softening and weakening of the bones.Kinds of Rickets Nutritional rickets -also called osteomalacia, is a condition caused by vitamin D deficiency. Hypophosphatemic rickets -caused by low levels of phosphate. Renal (kidney) rickets -Similar to hypophosphatemic rickets, renal rickets is caused by a number of kidney disorders.
