General presentation of Jahia 7, enabling the Digital Industrialization wave!

The Digital Industrialization vision is about an uninterrupted, optimized and continuous production flow of digital experience, from the business need to its final digital rendering.

This is now possible thanks to a new approach where distributed development is secure and fully integrated with code server and private apps forge. Developers and business users can collaborate in fast and short iterations to deliver validated components that would be made available to the entire organization via a private apps forge. Project after project, the TCO and time-to-market of digital projects decrease thanks to the ability to reuse modules and components from the private apps forges.

  • Convergence : since day 1, Jahia is an open source content platformthat combines WCM, DMS & Portal with a unified business friendly interfaceMeaning that from a business user perspective, looking at a digital portal page, everything is “content” whatever the source or the type of content. Knowing that nowadays, content and Business apps are aggregated together with device and personal contextualization. This convergence is the main driver of our current 6.6 version particularly with its multichannel capabilities
  • Software market division based on technology reason that is completely obsolete.
  • And have to wait months before seeing an evolution and get it done.
  • It’s funny when you read that in a Dilbert cartoon but when it happen in your organization, it’s not so funny considering the related consequences. The Obamacare website is the latest in a long line of major IT project disasters. The Standish Group, which analyzes IT projects, reported, 71% of projects did not succeed, budgets averaged 156% of budget, and projects took 184% longer than promised . Wow. Again, 71% of projects did not succeed.Something we hear during this customer RFP meeting. A customer we won against HP, Oracle and finally Adobe. We were the only one to make a demo that make both department happy. Why such failure ?
  • One of the main reason:too many roadblocks and by roadblocks we mean complex operations done manually using different tools and targeting different environment combines with the fact that too many digital project evolution require dev teams.Your organization aims to be agile but it’s not operational…yet
  • With our new software suite, we specifically target those roadblocks, a process we started with the launch of the Jahia Studio with the 6.5 in 2011, the first and exclusive on line VISUAL User Experience builder of the market.
  • With the new Jahia Studio version, Jahia will deliver an uninterrupted, optimized and continuous production flow of digital presence, from the business need to its final digital rendering.
  • Completely synchronized with Code repository servers and our exclusive Private App Store infrastructure, the new Studio offers devteams a complete distributed development
  • Even removing the requirement of a desktop IDE thanks to our new integrated online code editing tools.
  • The Studio also allows new designer tools that allows to actually see / visualize the evolution of a template / module / application development process and test it on the fly using a test platform connected to the private app store.
  • As a true consequence, Techies and marketers work together in quick and effective iterations to prototype, develop and validate. This is the end of the tunnel effect era
  • Marketing teams get control over their main objectives: in total autonomyensure brand consistency through all their sites and adapt their content to each required channel to create, at will, any global and localized digital initiatives, manipulate any type of content, assemble fully-fledged sites based on pre-defined templates and socially engage visitors by just drag'n dropping related modules and validated content.
  • Thanks – again - to a powerful and comprehensive in-context editing mode of their digital portals.
  • Including in-context mobile editing
  • Create website and build their page with modules (whatever the technology underneath and/or the source of data they aggregate) when they have permissions to do it.
  • And build, launch and manage state of the art digital portals initiatives, that combine personalized content AND business applications
  • And build, launch and manage state of the art digital portals initiatives, that combine personalized content AND business applications
  • And build, launch and manage state of the art digital portals initiatives, that combine personalized content AND business applications
  • And build, launch and manage state of the art digital portals initiatives, that combine personalized content AND business applications
  • Once validated, these modules are distributed through enterprise private app store. Validated, those components don't put corporate assets and mission critical application at risk.
  • On cloud or on premise or hybrid test / integration and, finally production environment thanks to the integration of a solid hot deployment tech for apps : OSGi
  • And, eventually, be on time, on budget with an effective capitalization on projectinvestments : you can re-use the modules and business applications you developed from one project to the next thanks to your own private app store- which can be either fully private within your entire organization and/or shared with your integration partner. With safe and validated components, you do not spend anymore: you invest.Your mission critical projects lifecycles are not jeopardized by operational roadblocks anymoreWhich means: agility comes true
