Fort Drum Tax Assistance Center offers FREE tax return preparation Staffed by IRS trained and certified Soldiers, the TAC will prepare and electronically file your federal and state income tax returns free of charge. By filing your return electronically, you can receive your refund in as little as one week. The TAC staff also is equipped to prepare 2010 returnsfor Soldiers returning from deployment who were not able to file last year.Located on South Post at the corner of Lewis and Conway / First Street West inBldg. T-120 (near the AAFES gas station and across the street from BehavioralHealth), the TAC will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.Beginning Monday, you may call 772-6727 to schedule a next business day appoint-ment. Throughout tax season, the appointment line will open at 1 p.m. each day andwill remain open until all appointments are filled for the next business day.The following documents are required to schedule an appointment: Military ID (Common Access Card) Social Security cards for you, your spouse and depend-ents and/or a Social Security number verification letter is-sued by the Social Security Administration. Spouses Club Fort Drum, New York Scholarship Application - 2012-2013 Academic YearThe Spouses Club Fort Drum is now accepting scholar-ship applications for the 2012-2013 academic year.Eligible individuals are: Spouses and children of active duty, reserve, or retired active duty military (officer or enlisted) Enrolled in a full or part-time accredited degree pro- gram during the upcoming 2012-2013 academic year (fall & spring terms). Applicants or their military sponsors must reside in the Fort Drum area or associated communities.
