    • NATIONAL PARK SERVICE MIDLEVEL MANAGERS INTAKE PROGRAM If you want a career that is professionally challenging, personally rewarding, and provides you with an opportunity to make an important contribution, the National Park Service (NPS) can help you obtain your goals. Right now, we are looking for qualified candidates for our Midlevel Managers Intake Program. The program is designed to create a highly competent, motivated, and diverse group of people ready for the challenges of professional and management careers. Participants will receive extensive development and training for a two-year period in crucial job competencies, including strategic thinking, partnering, organizational change, problem solving/creative thinking, teamwork, conflict management, oral and written communications, and customer service with the potential for future growth. Vacancy announcements for 18 positions throughout the National Park Service are advertised during the period March 12 through April 11, 2001. Three other positions will be closing later in April. A detailed brochure explaining the program is available for viewing on the Internet at web site: www.nps.gov/training/current.html. A list of positions being filled under this program is posted on that web site under the link "List of Positions Being Advertised". The list identifies specific information about each position and a link that will take you directly to the specific vacancy announcements. The web site also includes a link to "Status of Filling Positions." This link provides information on the status of filling the positions, where to obtain the necessary application forms, and how to contact NPS for additional information.
