Parliamentary Debate consists of two teams made of two/three people each. The teams debate two different sides of a topic.
Why do debate?
In debate, you learn how to present, organize, and refute arguments, which essentially is a great life skill.
Resolution
A Resolution is a claim of fact, policy or value that is debated by the teams.
This house should ban the death penalty This house should support stem cell research. The US Federal Government should grant citizenship to Illegal Immigrants currently residing in the US.
