  • 3. + Top of mind issues – why are you here? Ideally, I still want to secure a Summer Internship with a firm of Management Consultants….. If I can’t do that, I want to do a Summer Internship that will put me in a good position to secure a full-time Management Consulting offer in the Autumn… But, I’m really concerned that if I didn’t get a Summer Internship with a Consulting Firm, I won’t get a Full-Time Offer either….. And I’m aware the job market is difficult, and I’m not sure how I should alter my strategy to take this into account Anything else?

  • 18. + Sourcing a summer internship Jobs/projects including consultancy Use networking sites to search for positions will be posted on Career open jobs, companies to target & Central - check daily contacts (e.g., www.linkedin.com) n  Also use CC to search for archived internship postings – think about Attend any Career Services job events contacting some of these companies – details will be on Career Central speculatively before they post? Personal Networking (alumni in target companies, fellow MBAs including MBA 2011, EMBAs/Sloans/MiFs, at school Summer Recruitment Evening events, friends & family) Thursday 5 May Search targeted jobs websites, e.g., top- consultant.com Check press adverts – these can Headhunters & Recruitment Agencies: indicate which companies are still probably won’t provide a ‘packaged’ hiring & provide leads to make internship, but may be able to provide you with interim project or consulting speculative applications work
