•   Set in venice
• The tragedy of othello is a tragedy themed
  play written by william shakespeare. It is
  about othello, a moorish general in the
  venetian and his battles with racism, love,
  jealously and betrayal. Othello goes mad and
  puts the smackdown on his wife
•   Person vs Person
•   Person vs Society
•   Person vs Self
•   Person vs Nature
•   Person vs Fate
•   Person vs Machine
• Person vs person – A man lago is conspiring to
  undermine Othello’s rank as the leader of the
  venetian army. Lago then convinces others to
  help ruin othello. They a man cassio up to
  make it look like he has been having an affair
  with othellos wife Desdemona. Othello now
  distraught upon finding his wife accused of
  adultery, kills her. He then finds out she is
  innocent and kills himself.
•   Exposition – Rodengo is complaining to Lago that he has not been told about the marriage of
    his long time heart-throb Desdemona has married a moorish general of the venetian army
    named othello

•   Exciting force – Lago convinces other people to help him ruin othello. This sets up for a
    massive climax in the play.

•   Conflict – Lago persuades Othello to be suspicious of Cassio and Desdemona

Turning point – Othello accuses desdemona of adultery and kills her by smothering her with a
pillow. Othello then finds out she is innocent of such accusations and kills himself
