One of the top topics for this website now is an article about how the Brazillian Government plans to hand out over one million free condoms to it’s citizens in an effort to help stop the spread of HIV/Aids. This is just one of the many topic that this website takes on daily. I enjoyed this article because it supported what we’ve been talking about in class this week: The health of our youth globally.
There was an article about singer and Belize national hero, Andy Palacio, a UNESCO Artist for Peace died suddenly from a stroke, heart attack and respiratory failure. His death spoke for the health of the nation because the national diet in Belize is high fat, high starch and very few vegetables. That’s why Mark Miller and the organization Plenty Belize are teaming up to focus on the health of Belize’s youngest generations. Along with basic gardening tips, the youth will be instructed about why fresh vegetables are needed in the daily diet.
