  • 11. Motivation that is driven by an interest or enjoyment in the task itself, and exists within the individual rather than relying on any external pressure Intrinsic Motivation
  • 12. Motivation that comes from outside the individual. Common extrinsic motivations are rewards like money, and grades, coercion and threat of punishment.

  • 20. Coaching Questions What steps have you already taken? Describe the difference between where you are now and where you want to be… What is happening right now? What is your current strategy? What would you change about your current situation?

  • 22. Coaching Questions What obstacles are in your way? What do you need to start/stop doing to accomplish your goals? What else could you do? What are some alternate options? What help do you need addressing your obstacles? What can I do to help?
