Project
1 Medical and Public health project
1.1 2013.06-2016.06
Medium and long effect of anti-AIDS stigma comprehensive intervention from
multi-viewpoint (Funded by Ministry of Education)
Project Description:Stigma attitude towards AIDS threaten patients’ surviving. Our aim
was to reduce stigma among both medical students and clinical doctors with
multi-intervention strategy, which improved medical environment for AIDS patients
Responsibilities:
 Project design, Data-preprocessing on data: transformation, standardization, etc.
(Use SAS)
 Writing report and publications
1.2 2013.01-present
Statistical modeling for health risk assessment of chronic diseases (Funded by
School of public health, Tianjin medical university)
Project Description:Lifestyles and health status was closely associations with chronic
disease. We can help individuals to recognize their health status and probability of
suffering diseases with health risk assessment model.
Responsibilities:
 Understanding basic arithmetic of health risk assessment
 Collecting pooled odd ratio for risk factors of chronic diseases including stroke,
coronary heart disease, hypertension, and diabetes with meta-analysis (Use review
manager)
 Calculating individual comprehensive health score (Use SAS).
1.3 2011 .04-2012.01
Statistical modeling for breast cancer risk prediction with Gail model
Project Description:Risk of breast cancer can be predicted by several factors. When
knowing status like age, first birth age, menarche age, number of kids, and family history
of breast cancer, we can predict possibility of a woman suffering breast cancer in future
5,10,15,20 years.
Responsibilities:
 Data-preprocessing on data: transformation, standardization, etc. (Use SAS)
 Calculating population attribute risk of breast cancer with logistic model.
1.4 2008.01-2011.02
Data management and statistical modeling for hypertension risk factors.
Project Description:Survey on prevalence of hypertension target organ damage was
conducted in Tianjin. A total of 30 000 participants were surveyed on socio-economic
status, lifestyles, dietary, sleeping. ALL of participants got physical examination. We
calculated hypertension prevalence and analyzed network structural of risk factors.
Responsibilities:
 Data-preprocessing on data: transformation, standardization, etc. (Use SAS)
 Constructing model of associations between risks (socio-economic status, lifestyles,
other chronic disease) and hypertension with structural equation model. (Use LISREL,
Amos)
 Analyzing interactive effect of BMI with modifiable lifestyle using multi-level model.
(Use MLwin)
2 Clinical Drug trail
2.1 2006.09-2008.02
Data analysis on Phase 2 clinical drug trail
Responsibilities:
 Protocol writing (Statistical Analysis Plan), sample size determination,
data-preprocessing on data, checking, transforming, analysis.
 Analysis report
3 Other project
3.1 2013.06
Statistical modeling for effect of advertisement type on lottery sale achievement
Project Description:A lottery corporation invested 3 types of advertisement (TV,
Newspaper, Outdoor), and wanted to know (1) which advertisement had the largest effect
on sale achievement? (2)How long did each advertisement begin to onset?
Responsibilities:
 Multi-liner regression model and time series analysis was employed (Use SPSS) .
3.2 Two projects using structural equation model (Use LISREL, Amos)
Responsibilities:
 2014.04 Constructing model of network on psychological status among medical
students
 2013.05 Constructing model of associations between AIDS knowledge, attitude
towards AIDS patients, and agreement on occupational exposure protection.
3.3 2006.07 - present Statistical consulting for medical doctors and biologists
Responsibilities:
 Statistical support for biologists and doctors, including writing of statistical analysis
plan
 Using methods of t test ANOVA, Chi-square test, Liner regression analysis, Logistic
analysis, Structural equation model, Multi-level model, ROC curve, Survival analysis,
etc.
 Make program and get results, analysis of results.
4 Thesis
4.1 2007.03 – 2008.04
Master Thesis " Analysis on influencing factors of AIDS risk assessment among Male
homosexuality with structural equation model "
Responsibilities:
 Application of structural equation model into the analysis the relationship of AIDS risk
perception and risk behaviors among Gays (Using LISREL, Amos).
4.2 Publications
 Effects of rapid versus standard HIV voluntary counseling and testing on reception
rate: a meta-analysis. Int J STD AIDS. 2014 May 8. (IF=1.00)
 Association of modifiable lifestyle behaviors with hypertension by various BMI
categories in Tianjin Province of China: a cross-sectional study. Asia-Pacific Journal
of Public Health. 2012 Mar 16. (IF=1.06)
