AIDS is a worldwide illness, people fromPROC-2 the Third and First world get infected andEVALUATION die, on the other hand AIDS people suffer a huge discrimination.NOTESCREDITS "It wont happen to me!". Is that what you think? that is a very common belief, but AIDS has got no colour, no sex, no economic or social status, maybe after looking for information and working with the topic you will have a different opinion.  This is the Big Question: May it happen to you?

INTROTASK  The task will be aimed toPROC-1 Bachillerato and will take four weeks.PROC-2  The final task will be double:EVALUATION 1) To create a virtual AIDS magazineNOTES with interviews and articles that will include all the info everybody shouldCREDITS know about AIDS. 2) To organise an AIDS school campaign.  To create this magazine you will collaborate in a 4 reporters group. Each one of you will choose a role and will research about an aspect of the disease and its social discrimination.

  11. 11. INTROTASKPROC-1 - You will be evaluated in group, workPROC-2 hard to get the best marks and learn as much asEVALUATION you can!NOTES - Content, visual presentation and grammatical and spelling correctness will beCREDITS also evaluated.

INTROTASKPROC-1 - This Webquest has been designed for students of Secondary Education of English as a ForeignPROC-2 Language - The required level is pre-intermediate orEVALUATION intermediate. We think it can work better with students in Bachillerato (16, 17 years old), but itNOTES can also be done with students of 4º ESO (15CREDITS years old), if they like English. - The objectives are to make students aware of the risks and possibilities of getting AIDS. From a linguistic point of view, students will benefit from reading extensively in English and will have to put into practice other skills such as summarizing, writing an interview, etc. - It can be carried out in class (3 or 4 sessions to guide them through the process) and as part of their homework.
