WHAT:               It’s about that time! Join the International Coquito Federation the 2013 Three Kings Day
Coquito Crawl and ring in the New Year with delicious Coquito an assortment of flavorful foods. Attendees will
be shuttled by trolley to a variety of establishments offering exclusive menu tastings and fresh creamy Coquito
made by New York’s top Coquito Masters!

Co-sponsored by The Caribbean Cultural Center African Diaspora Institute (CCCADI) and Off The Beaten
Plate, The Three Kings Day Coquito Crawl will be a gratifying post-Holiday treat for family and friends alike.
This year’s featured establishments include Camaradas, Amor Cubano, Gran Piatto D’Oro, La Casa Azul
Bookstore, and East Harlem Café. Specific location and trolley details are listed below. Members of the
media are welcome to attend and must RSVP directly at info@obpnyc.com.

PRICE:            $25 General Admission at the door. A limited number of $15 tickets are available to
Facebook fans of Off The Beaten Plate (Facebook.com/offthebeatenplate) for advance purchase only using

***Both ticket prices cover admission on-board the trolley and to all tasting sites. Ticket-holders will be
permitted to board the trolley at any of the below locations and will be required to show their tickets upon entry

About The International Coquito Federation
Founded in 2002 by East Harlem-native Debbie Quinones, the International Coquito Federation seeks to
celebrate and preserve Puerto Rico’s culinary and cultural legacy through a host of events in El Barrio and
other communities throughout New York. Such events include the vastly popular Coquito Masters Contest
series, during which contestants compete for the title of top Coquito Master. Qualifiers are held in the five
boroughs of NYC and Connecticut, drawing thousands of people annually. Since its inception 11 years ago,

WHY:                The 2012 Presidential race has proven to be one of the most important elections in our
                    nation's history. From severe economic hardship and disparity to threats against
                    fundamental civil and human rights, America is facing key challenges that warrant
                    strong, reliable leadership and, most importantly, an electorate that is engaged and
                    well-informed. This (and each subsequent) debate will provide a critical opportunity for
                    both candidates to address these issues and to lay out their respective agendas for
                    building a better, stronger nation for all.

LOGISTICS:          The debate will be shown on two screens for optimal viewing. A special selection of
                    cocktails and appetizers uniquely-priced for the occasion will be served, including

     Veteran Comedian/Entertainer and Radio Star J. Anthony Brown
       Launches L.A. Talent Competition “The J. Factor” Tonight
    Event will run every Sunday from 6-9pm for 12 weeks; open to local vocalists and rap artists of
                                           various ages

June 24, 2012 – Los Angeles, CA – Are you an aspiring singer or rapper trying to break into the music
industry? Have family and friends always encouraged you to be proactive and pursue your dreams to become
a famous entertainer? If so, you won’t want to miss out on the newest competition hitting LA this weekend.

This evening, veteran comedian and co-host of The Tom Joyner Morning Show J. Anthony Brown, will
launch “The J. Factor,” a talent competition open to up-and-coming performers from across Los Angeles.
Hosted by singer and musician Julian Jones, the competition will take place from 6-9PM every Sunday at
Brown’s hot comedy club The J. Spot, located at 5581 W. Manchester Avenue. Contestants of all ages
are welcome to enter, and the winner will receive a grand prize, to be announced at the event. The “J. Factor”
will be a family-friendly affair, so only clean singers, rappers and entertainers will be considered.

“I hope that everyone will come out tonight for the inaugural ‘J. Factor’ competition to try their luck at breaking
into the music and entertainment business,” said J. Anthony Brown. “This is a special opportunity for bright
up-and-coming talent in our community to show off their skills and advance their hopes of becoming the next
big thing. Tell your family and friends and invite them all to come down too and see if they have what it takes to
become the very first ‘J Factor’ winner. Hope to see you there!’”
