Supermarkets • 59% of commuters shop for groceries online • 41% plan to do more grocery shopping online in the coming year • 9 in 10 commuters do ‘top up shops’ • However, 4 in 5 still do a main weekly shop • 56% of commuters buy dinner in the station or on their way home • 91% buy on impulse • 60% of commuters view branded products as better quality • However, price is the most important factor in supermarket selection • 35% agree that posters would prompt them to find out more about a specific supermarket
