Motors 2013 • High levels of car ownership amongst commuters with 9 in 10 owning a car • The car is key for commuters with over half using their car every day to drive to the station • The average commute time by car to/from the station is 13 minutes • Brand loyalty is not too prevalent with only 6% always opting for the same brand • Commuters view experiential as key for promoting a new car launch – particularly a demonstration • Over half of commuters are looking to buy a new car in the next 2 years • Commuters will consider a range of sizes – from 4 x 4’s to mini ranges • On average, commuters spend 3 months researching their car purchase
