BLUE TIE AFFAIR:
RECOGNIZING OUR CHILDREN’S HEROES
Do you know someone who serves as a volunteer coach? Reads
books to children at the local childcare center? Organizes the
carpool? Wakes up extra early or stays super late to make sure your
child is safe? Serves as a leader to help military Families? Develops
policy to prevent child abuse? Organizes community efforts that
support the well-being of children?
The Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall Family Advocacy Program is
pleased to host the first ever Blue Tie Affair on April 30, 2014, 3 p.m.
at the JBM-HH Community Activities Center (Bldg. 405) on the Fort
Myer portion of JBM-HH. We invite you to nominate an individual as
we recognize our “Children’s Heroes.”
We want to recognize individuals who go above and beyond the call of
duty for our children and strive to make our community safe for our
children.
The Children’s Heroes Recognition Selection committee will review all
nominee packets. The stories of selected honorees will be shared at
the Blue Tie Affair. If your nominee is selected, you and your nominee
will be notified prior to the event. Below are the nomination
guidelines:
You may nominate more than one individual.
You can nominate yourself!
Nominations are open to the entire JBM-HH community, both on
and off post.
Deadline for nominations is April 1, 2014.
For additional information or to submit a nomination packet, please contact
the Family Advocacy Program at 703-696-3512 or
