› Reactive ( unstable or undergoes rapid or violent chemical
reaction with water, air or other materials )
› Toxic ( poisonous or can cause cancer, mutation or death )

compliance refer to ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT(
SCHEDULE WASTE ) REGULATION 2005.
› Definition of ScW in MY: Any waste falling within the FIRST
SCHEDULE

7. CURRENT
E-Consignment notes - application using email as an initial
notification to the Department of Environment (DOE) of any
scheduled wastes generated and keeps up-to-date inventory of
scheduled waste generated, treated and disposed of.
Toshiba voluntarily as a representive to recycle the e-waste
materials (household waste).
8. FUTURE
Doe has been enforcing various laws pertaining to E- WASTE
awareness to public.

9. CURRENT
The environment quality schedule waste 2005, come into
effect on 15 august 2005.
a review of the regulation schedule waste 2005 that was not
included in the gazette 1974 .
Changes adopted from Basel Convention 1989 to the
categorization of hazardous waste
The regulation covered the period and quantity of the on site
scheduled waste storage, labeling of the waste container and
handling of e waste.
In this new regulation waste generators are encouraged to
reduce and recover waste at source.
