  • 1. Revival College SA
    • Embracing Communities, Appropriating Revival
  • 2.
  • 3. " If you have no wish to bring others to heaven, you are not going there yourself .” C.H. Spurgeon
  • 4. Regarding Revival
    • Every country in the Western World has had a revival every 50 years.
    • America has almost missed it…
    • Will South Africa be on time?
  • 5. Signs of the Times
    • Corruption is rife; within government AND in the Church.
    • Disregard for and little value placed on life.
    • 2008; 80 000 babies murdered through abortion.
    • Young people are dying everyday – attack on their calling & purpose.
    • Rise of forefather and idle worship.
    • People rather go to Sangomas than to the Church.
    • Recession.
  • 6. Glimpses of Hope
    • Well known potato farmer and Evangelist, Angus Buchan, filled stadiums to capacity in 2008.
    • Young people are becoming more and more aware of God; black and white is becoming clear as grey areas disappear.
    • Angus’ Mighty Men conference ’09 draws 200 000.
    • Sbu Ndebele, transport MEC gives back a R1.1m MERC he received as gift for work done – government responds by re-evaluating ethics.
  • 7. Prophetic Words
    • “ From Cape Town to Johannesburg I am calling forth dread champions of
    • faith,” says the Lord. “ I am going to sweep through this land with fire from
    • heaven and the destiny of this nation shall come forth refined in holy fire .
    • I am re-establishing my rule and reign in South Africa and I will pour out
    • healings, signs and wonders even as I call multitudes into My kingdom. I am
    • going to pour out my miracle working love and power and destroy the
    • yokes of drug addiction, alcoholism, violence and prostitution ,” says the
    • Lord. “The children of South Africa have not been forgotten by their Heavenly
    • Father. For many have cried out for deliverance on behalf of the children and I
    • am coming with My presence and My holy fire to touch lips, to sanctify
    • hearts and to commission a new generation - an apostolic company of
    • believers in South Africa. The market place and the church based ministries
    • must learn to work together, so that the fullness of My resource and blessing
    • can be release into the nations.” “South Africa, I have loved you with an
    • everlasting love and I call you forth to be a nation who will pray, a nation
    • who will evangelise and a nation who will work out the Great
    • Commission in fear and trembling before Me for I am a Holy God and a God
    • of Holy Love.” Catherine Brown
  • 8. Prophetic Words
    • Upon returning to the US, I was taken in the Spirit over South Africa
    • and saw God healing divisions and bringing unity . A heavenly
    • counsel is being formed of ministers from Africa and around the world
    • who will bring blessings and turn back curses. This healing has already started within the Church and will spread like a wildfire to heal and restore racism, the economy, and government. The Lord is saying, “ Everything that is happening right now is by My design. Do not be discouraged or listen to the negative reports ” Doug Addison
  • 9. Prophetic Words
    • “… as they meet and pray their colours and differences fade away - the oil of
    • the Holy Spirit beginning to flow from the platform - the oil flowing out to the
    • people that are gathering in the stadium - the people in the stadium are being
    • saved – healed - demons being cast out - the dead coming back to life - the
    • lord working as the ministers come together to pray - as they meet as one
    • body …” Dave Howe 30.9.98, Living Waters fellowship, Margate.
    • Wellspring Prophetic Ministries, England.
  • 10. Prophetic Words
    • The season for the training of the 'army of the Lord'.
    • The Moses/Joshua company of servants to raise up and train the Lord's army.
    • These trainees must be transformed from slaves to soldiers and matured from children to sons . These to be trained and equipped to conquer and possess a new land according to a decentralized model (no king or head quarters). Unless they are trained in a decentralized model they will not be able to conquer and possess the whole territory that the Lord intends for them to have.
    • The Lord to pour out His rain of love to nurture, refresh, heal and strengthen the children.
    • The Lord to pour out His fire to equip and empower His sons for the time of battle .
    • The Lord begins to visit His people to revive them and call them to a deeper walk with Him.
    • Revival spreads to many, many places through ordinary people .
    • Starting trumpet calls: NIRSA April 2008, Might Men gathering April 2008
    • Johan Boot, 1994
  • 11. Prophetic Words
    • “ God will move in a mighty way in South Africa, in the Body of Christ. And no one will
    • stop Him! …Each person who has left South Africa will return, bringing back seven
    • others. The Holy Spirit showed me that a lot of believers from your nation in the
    • rest of the world will return : The Holy Spirit will speak to believers: “Go to your
    • nation. Your nation is not Austria, your nation is not the UK, your nation is not
    • Germany. Your nation is South Africa.“ …An army of believers will return to SA… a
    • vision was of a Cross: The Lord is putting this Cross in the land of South Africa. The
    • Cross is put in a strong way in South Africa. No-one can move it. It is like deep in
    • the earth of SA. It is towering over Africa . …Your land is going to walk in signs and
    • wonders, word of wisdom and knowledge, prophecy, inner healing, physical healing. And
    • through those signs, the natives will come to Jesus! They need healing and He is going
    • to heal them. God will move among the natives, they will destroy their idols and
    • they will come to Jesus. The Lord is faithful. South Africa is a land of the WARRIORS.
    • When SA walks in signs and wonders it will not only be for the glory of Africa, but for all
    • the nations of the whole world.” DANIEL (A MESSIANIC JEW) - APRIL 2008,
    • JERUSALEM
  • 12. Why can we expect a revival?
    • Charles Finney taught:
    • God’s providence points to revival of His will
    • Conspiring of events open the way for Revival
    • Manifestations point to outpouring of H.S.
    • Wickedness – grief, humility & distress in Christians
    • Driven to prayer, breaking down – resistance, sorrow & tender hearts
    • Revival follows outrageous wickedness
  • 13. " God always visits his people when they reach the point of desperation .” Stephen Olford
  • 14. What happens in Revival?
    • Pat Robertson (700 Club) teaches:
    • Glory from Heaven invades the human condition
    • In God’s Light the allure of the World, pleasures & possessions loses its hold
    • Hearts are satisfied with the Presence of God.
    • Drawing closer to God; sin – distasteful, loathsome
    • God refines & purifies His people.
    • G. places His Love & Compassion for Lost in hearts
    • It begins among God's people & permeates into society
  • 15. Questions we need to ask!
    • What will happen if revival comes?
    • Will we be prepared?
    • What will it take to get revival in South Africa?
    • What will Revival look like?
  • 16. Why a Revival College?
    • God wants to revive His people.
    • Important to teach “consciousness” of God.
    • Personal Revival is the first step to a National Revival.
    • Prayer precedes any great move of God; therefore:
    • Our hearts need to be softened
    • Lives broken for the lost and needy
    • Become disciplined in seeking God .
    • Revival is NOT taught in Bible Colleges…
  • 17. Harvesters are few
    • You need ask NO permission from anyone to do what God called you to do!
