Global Momentum • Recent commitments to Itanium from such ISVs as Oracle, Sun (for its Java platform), Microsoft (for its .Net Framework), Sybase, Symantec (for its CSP critical system protection), Sophos (for antivirus security) and others to support their applications on the Itanium platform. • Itanium-based solutions are offered by global server system vendors with deep experience in delivering mission-critical server solutions, and supported by nearly 14,000 applications and 10 operating systems, including Microsoft Windows Server and multiple versions of Linux. • Cumulative Itanium server systems shipped to date is more than 224,000.
