  • Apple was established in Cupertino, California on April 1st, 1976, bycollege dropouts Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs. Their partnershipbegan a couple of years earlier when they built “boxes” (computers)to make long distance calls for free. They started the company usingthe $1,300 they collected by selling their van and two calculators.They called their company Apple Computer Inc. at the time, thoughthe name eventually changed to Apple Inc. in 2007, as their productsbegan to vary.
  • Apple also advertises through its website (that encompasses allthe products, the famous app store, etc.) and the iTunes systemthat it created to sell music and movies.
