THINKING “I don‟t want to think about it!”We have to think a thought ourselvesT to make it our own and thinking is an activity that we control.
THOUGHTS “I’ve seen the light!” But the light, like the thought, is waiting there for all to seeThought-pictures or concepts are not private or exclusive “I had the same thought.” ……What makes it private and exclusive is our individual perception. Pure thought-pictures or concepts areT not exclusive and result from thinking but our thinking is based on our perception and that is exclusive to each of us.
THINGS Our perception of some thing is our own personal affair. “I’ve got the evidence of my own eyes!”It is only the „apparent reality‟ of some thing that we can perceive with our everyday senses. The cat + = broke the glass (?) A „residual reality‟ of some thingT remains after our associations with it have been extracted.
In my thinking, prompted my senseperceptions, I am alone – but…..my thinking also connects me to the world. Through thinking –T we are a part of the world and apart from it.Precisely because it is my thinking –actively living „in the moment‟ – I can‟tobserve it. I can only observe the thought.T Actively living „in the moment‟ thinking can be strengthened.
If the „Residual Reality‟? of some thing lies beyond the observation of sense perception, what can we do?
Rely on more sophisticated Accept some things willtechnology– even tho‟ our remain beyond ourthoughts about some thing understanding. Be humblyobserved are immediately content with a faith inaffected by our perception „something more‟ – andand associations. not try to prove it. Strengthen active „in the moment‟ intuitive thinking developing „extra-to-sensory‟ perception.
Our thinking connects us with things our senses perceive but in order to grasp those things we bring them „down to size‟ into a thought-picture. We separate ourselves again from the world. We are spectators.
To explore some thing‟s full reality requires that we become involved. Strengthen our intuitive thinking with humility and attentiveness. “The most simple of activities and the most challenging.” Goethe An everyday gift can help us because it relies on our intuition. The gift of loving remembrance.
