We recently wrote about how you can make money investing in cell tower leases. However, you do not need to buy and hold a cell site lease in order to profit in this business. Cell tower lease trading profits can be substantially more than what one would gain from buy and hold investing in this investment arena. Cell sites are the nodes of the mobile phone grid. Because of the large number of relay sites required, owners of phone grids only own a few percent of these sites and they lease the rest. Here are a few options for making money in the cell phone tower lease business:
• Buy a cell phone lease and property, hold, and collect lease payments
• Acquire a cell phone site, rehab the property, and sell for a profit
• Obtain a large number of cell sites and leases and repackage as securities for resale
• Find a willing buyer for such properties and search for and buy with this final buyer in mind
As you will notice, two of the four options mentioned involve buying and selling leases and another has to do with repackaging leases for small investors. Find cell sites. Talk to owners. Create deals. Rehab properties. Sell to a pre-arranged buyer. And bank your cell tower lease trading profits.
