ONTARIO’S INNOVATION ECOSYSTEM One example of a leading Ontario R&D centre is the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research (OICR), an independent, not-for-profit translational cancer research institute funded by the Government of Ontario. The partnership includes creating a new $210-million, world-class virtual research and development centre.
