    • Backup • iCloud – Apple’s backup / syncing solution • Sync to computer is another option (iTunes) • Selected apps provide back up to cloud – Dropbox, etc. (note- taking apps, etc.) These need to be set in app settings • Cloud storage (Dropbox, Box, Google Drive, etc.) is not stored locally on device, so backup is unnecessary 34IMA’s 94th Annual Conference © 2013 Institute of Management Accountants. We share through social media, We fill up the device memory, We connect to our computer and offload the content…maybe We delete content to make room for new content • Problems?     • Managing Photos and Video – Rescale Content • Video files created are large • Use video conversion software to convert to a compressed format Created format is .mov; Converts to .mp4 at 1/10th of file size – with no loss of quality • Various video software options – I use Handbrake (Mac).     • Managing Photos and Video – Final Tips • Dropbox provides the ability to automatically upload photos to storage (I don’t) – sign up Dropbox thru this link • The “Photo Gallery” capability in Dropbox is excellent for sharing photos (do not have to be a Dropbox user to view) • iCloud – using Photostream – allows easy sharing of photos and access across devices (last 1,000 pics) • Stay on top of this process – Dropbox can fill up quickly!
