2. Why IETF?
• IETF is the soul of the Internet.
• It is a group of volunteers, strong and cohesive.
• It is untouchable. They have no owner. Does it not exist!
• It is in a clearly phase of expansion of diverse
perspectives.
• Much to teach, especially to young people.
• The IETF model allows an infinite number of volunteers
with absolutely no management impact.
9. Proposals
• Systematically present the IETF at all events involving
computing (ISOC, IETF LAC + other institutions)
• New version of "The Book of IETF" including: Arabic,
Chinese, Japanese and French.
• Increasing grants (target): 100 people per meeting of the
IETF (300 per year).
• Significant portion of these grants should be directed to
research and development institutions.
10. Proposals
• Part of these grants may be directed to the participation
of the IGF.
• Do not let die initiatives such as the CGI.br. Try to expand
with similar initiatives in African countries.
• Copy programs like "NANOG College Immersion Program"
• Involvement of local chapters of ISOC in IETF.
• HUBs creation for remote participation in the IETF
meetings. It is an individual initiative.
• Others.
