Netball NZ (NNZ) Background  NNZ is the national body for more than 140,000 registered netballers throughout the country.  NNZ recently restructured the entire operations and administration of Netball throughout New Zealand from 12 Regions to 5 Zones.  Netball NZ NNZ incorporates 3 key business units. | 4
  • 5. Before Dynamics NAV  Each Region utilised different accounting packages.  NNZ used outdated software in need of upgrading.  The visibility of financials within the netball community was limited. Netball NZ | 5
  • 6. Need for Change  Post-restructure, NNZ has became a different organisation.  Recognised as vital to support the five new Zones to become viable entities in their own right.  Sporting organisations are businesses and need to be run as such. Netball NZ | 6
  • 7. What the solution looked like  Separate NAV „companies‟ created for each Zone and NNZ.  Created a general ledger to facilitate detailed reporting.  NNZ has access to the Zones‟ financials in NAV.  Consolidated reporting available if required. Netball NZ | 7
