Alongside the presentation of 7 key differentiators we will show key elements of a “Semantic Approach” which includes semantic markup, information modelling and linking mechanisms. Furthermore you will see real world cases and learn how a semantic information model for one topic is set up in a mini workshop.

How can the Life-science and Healthcare sector make use of semantic markup? How is this different from the automotive industry? A good way to explain semantic markup is to show the difference between pharmaceuticals and medical devices. Although both prepare and submit information e.g. to the FDA, one has to think completely different in terms of the domain logic and not from the required output-, recipient- or case format.

This session elaborates on the question why semantic markup is necessary to combine fragmented data which originates from cross functional and distributed workforces and how that can be done. Furthermore we will elaborate on the next level of semantic markup and dive deep into the semantics of two domains: medical devices and pharmaceuticals. In a mini workshop we will both elaborate on possible structures as well as provide real world cases from both domains. You will take home in-depth and actionable knowledge that will help you to approach your challenges and solve critical business problems with intelligent content the semantic way.
