TCS BaNCS*: The tests were run only for one exchange, the busiest in India. Though the average is about 50-100 orders/sec for any exchange, the readings were taken for a stressed/futuristic scenario of up to 400 orders/sec. Throughput is managed by having multiple instances of the same process. In the test condition there were about 10 parallel processes (multiple instances of the same process and not processes spawned/forked from a parent process) handling a load of 400 orders/sec. However there are about 15 more processes running - 10 for processing reverse confirmations from exchange, and 5 more for different inter-process co-ordination. There were about 30 broadcast processes.
