RECONVERGE:G2 Indianapolis Brochure 20130920

  1. 1. Gail King Eli Lilly & Company Director, Strategic Competitive Intelligence +1 (317) 276-7657 king_gail_marie@lilly.com WELCOME FROM THE SYMPOSIUM CHAIR ************************************************************************************************************* Gail King began her career as a critical care registered nurse in Buffalo, New York. She subsequently was hired by Eli Lilly and Company where she has worked for the past 29 years. Her career with Lilly has afforded her a variety of business opportunities across the value chain. Her vast business experiences have included working in Sales & Marketing, New Product Development, Market Research, and Health Care Accounts Management. She is currently the Director of Strategic Competitive Intelligence for Lilly Research Laboratories where she has focused her efforts and her passion for the past nine years. Gail is also a professional figure skating and ice hockey power skating coach where she instructs both recreational and elite athletes. I am delighted to extend a very warm Hoosier welcome to each of you as you join us for the Fall 2013 RECONVERGE:G2 Intelligence Leadership Symposium. Indianapolis is known by some as the Racing Capitol of the World where the “Greatest Spectacle in Racing”, the Indianapolis 500, takes place every May to the delight of race fans throughout the world. Regardless of the reason for your visit, the city takes pride at hosting each and every one of its visitors. As seasoned competitive intelligence professionals, we are keenly aware of the ever increasing demands for meaningful intelligence, which will allow our companies to achieve a competitive advantage. Each of us seeks to stay alert to new business concepts, technologies and techniques which keep our work products in demand. Unfortunately, it is often difficult to find conferences which address the cutting edge needs of seasoned CI professionals. The fall session of RECONVERGE:G2 has been developed to meet this precise need. The conference promises to deliver a unique program filled with challenging topics and perspectives which will surely be informative to all in attendance. Our goal is to disturb the traditional “status quo” CI thinking, thereby re-energizing participants to leverage their CI expertise in new and creative ways. Finally, as before, the conference has a primary goal of promoting a collaborative environment where participants can openly discuss key issues which are of importance to them. This requires fine-tuned meeting dynamics and, therefore, the conference will continue its practice of being “by invitation only”. I applaud each of you for taking time out of your busy schedules to attend the Fall 2013 RECONVERGE:G2 Intelligence Leadership Symposium and I look forward to your participation and some lively discussions.
