Sound Barriers Consumer Survey - Presentation Transcript

    1. Voice Survey This survey is part of a research project in to Voice as a User Interface (VUI) for mobile applications and devices. The survey will take a maximum of 10 minutes of your time, and you will have a chance to win £50 of Amazon Vouchers as part of the Free Prize Draw. Your answers are anonymous, and if you give us your email address for the prize draw we will not link it to your survey answers, and dispose of it once the winner has been randomly selected on 30 September 2009. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In the survey we will use the term VOICE USER INTERFACE or ‘VUI’ when we are referring to you interacting with your mobile phone through the use of your voice – Talking to your mobile phone and it talking to you! Perhaps you have used VUI functions on your mobile already like voice dialling, . Or maybe your experience of VUI is when you've called a switchboard, or customer services number, a machine called an IVR answers and you are asked to say what you want, instead of using your keypad. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ A note on Privacy This survey is anonymous The record kept of your survey responses does not contain any identifying information about you unless a specific question in the survey has asked for this. Email addresses are ONLY used to select the competition winner. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- These questions are to help us understand something about you and your mobile phone 1.
