  • anon27 Ozawa Donny , Adversting key account at Exxon That's because reports like that generally don't exist on the IPS site. You need to go to boarddocs.com and wade through the board resolutions to see anything: http://www.boarddocs.com/in/indps/Board.nsf/Public they have changed the layout multiple times to obfuscate things as much as possible while still being 'public'.

It's not the teacher pay that should bother you it's the do-nothing administrators many of whom have fake titles and are unqualified for the jobs they have. It's even more prevalent if you take race in to consideration. IPS is a deeply racist organization. Just not in the traditional sense of the term.

  • onychea onychea Most teachers work past their contract hours almost daily. I am one. I come in 1/2 hour early, work during my break, and leave more than 1 hour later than my contract time. We also work on the weekends. I am not the only one in the building preparing my classroom for the onslaught, usually about 4 hours and praying to make it home in time for the Colts game. We also do a lot of planning on our computers at home, not to mention the additional courses we take, paying out-of-pocket in order to better our teaching practices or to renew our licenses. All-in-all, I think I deserve the less-than-40k I make in that '9 months' of work that I do. By the way, that's about 190 days contract time. Add the nearly 300-400 extra hours I work to make sure my students aren't short-cutted. 2 years ago Reply

  • brnaptown brnaptown The highest paid teachers make about $70K a year, for 9 months work.

Oh YEAH teachers are underpaid. Yeah, that's really a horrible wage. Good grief, that's almost $100K a year plus Cadillac benefits.
