Françoise Ugochukwu, habilitée à diriger des recherches, has been lecturing in Higher Education in Nigeria, France and the UK for more than 40 years. A retired Professor from the University of Nigeria, UNN, she joined the Open University UK in July 2005. A specialist in Igbo Studies (Nigeria) and Comparative Literature, with special interest in African Studies, Nollywood and Ethnolinguistics, she is the first author of the first Igbo-French dictionary, sponsored by the French Institute in Africa, Ibadan (Nigeria), of several books and some hundred book chapters and articles in reputable journals worldwide.
