  • BASANT PANCHAMI CELEBRATIONS 15th February’2013Basant Panchami was celebrated on 15th February’2013. The day started off withSaraswati pooja in the morning which lasted for around two and a half hours with all theteaching, non-teaching members and students present during the pooja. The pooja wasperformed so religiously with minutest details and with loud chanting of Sanskrit slokasby Panditji that it engrossed the entire audience present there. At the end of the Pooja,Havan was performed where all present gave AHUTI. Lastly Arti was done with everyone singing the Artis and thus participating with whole soul and heart.The Havan was followed by Rangoli competition and Face painting competition. TheRangoli competition was open for both students and faculty and they participated withfull enthusiasm. The participants made beautiful rangolis with an array of differentmaterials. It was a very colourful event which both the audience and the participantsenjoyed thoroughly.In the face competition, we got to see innovativeness and creativity amongst the studentparticipants. The winners were given prizes by the Hon’ble Vice President and Director.They were very pleased to see the talent of the students and encouraged them toparticipate in these kinds of activities in large number.The day ended with kite flying competition organized in the afternoon where 16 teamsparticipated. The crowd cheered when they saw Prof. B.N.Roy and Prof. Sahjwaniparticipating in the kite flying competition. The event was filled with lot of enthusiasmand thrill. The kites were flown and interesting kite fights took place and finally theparticipant whose kite was flying high till the end after cutting the maximum number ofkites became the winner of the competition. The prize distribution ceremony was held inthe evening with Hon’ble Vice President’s team winning the competition. Hecongratulated the other winners and participants and announced that such activities willcontinue to be organized in the Institute in future also.
  • The winners of the Rangoli competition were :1st Prize : Anandiya, Akanksha and Divyanshi 2nd Prize : Sugandha, Kriti and Shivangi (CS – 2nd yr) (CS 2nd yr)
  • Consolation Prize was given to the faculty members : Ms. Shikha Dubey, Ms.Seema andMs. Anjali Singh (faculty (CS))The winners of the Face competition were :1st Prize : Anirudh Saxena, CS 2nd yr) 2nd Prize : Veronica, MBA
  • The day ended with kite flying competition and the winners were : .1st Prize : Prof. B.N.Roy and Prof. H.K.Shajwani2nd Prize : Mohd. Zafar and Rajender Prasad (Pharmacy)3rd prize : Naman, Mohd. Intkalab (Civil Engg. 2 nd yr)
