  1. On Friday, 3 July 2009, Julie, Alex and Terry came from the International Water Management Institute to talk to us about… Water
  2. We learned that even simple daily activities like eating use a lot of water. How much water we need to grow our food depends on what we eat: And if we eat meat, we For a vegetarian diet: use more than 5000 2000 to 3000 litres a day litres a day ( for a beef burger we need about 2400 liters of water!!)
  3. Miss Julie gave a presentation. What is water used for? Drinking Water Cattle Fishing Having fun! Washing clothes
  4. Then we played a game to get into groups.
  5. Miss Julie and Miss Alex gave us a fun quiz.

  9. Then we worked on posters.
  10. How much water does it take to make a pack of Choc n’ Nut?
  11. We decided there are some things we can do to use less water and cause less pollution: • Don’t waste food • Don’t waste water • Reuse • Recycle
