From Science to engineering
IBM, Unified Communications (UC), QoE and Performance
UC (video / voice/ messaging) are an important application and an area of competence for IBM!
• Understanding the QoE and end-to-end performance!
• Testing and auto-tuning of the applications in order to mitigate issues with non-
ideal network conditions. !
• Developed solutions and new IP that eventually lead to integration of these
solutions into their UC product portfolio (collaborators UCD and NUIM).!
• Policy Frameworks in context of Network federations and governance !
• Policy continuum mapping business logic to physical layer configurations!
• Policy evaluation performance !
