  2. 2. TIP 1: PRACTICE Have a practice video interview with a friend or your representing recruiter. This will help you get familiar with video conferencing, while also checking that your connection is good, and camera and mic settings are correct. Don’t let the interview be the first time you are using your webcam.
  3. 3. TIP 2: SPEAK CLEARLY AND POSITIVELY Make eye contact with the interviewer. Remember, you should be talking to the camera and not the monitor. Sit a little further back from the computer than normal, and ensure that the camera is at the right height to meet you at eye-level. You don’t want to be looking up or down at the camera.
  4. 4. TIP 3: DRESS CODE Treat the video interview as you would a face to face meeting. The interviewer can see you on screen, so you should dress as though they are in the room.
  5. 5. TIP 4: INTERVIEW ENVIRONMENT Ensure that your interview environment is quiet, properly lit, and that you are appearing in front of a neutral background. You want your interviewer to see you at your best, don’t make it difficult for them to see or hear you.
